HOW IT WORKS: Rock Star University is a week-long camp where students are put into bands based on skill level and experience. They work with an Allegro instructor throughout the week putting together a short set list consisting of a) one cover song that the instructor selects, b) one cover song that the students select, and c) one original song that the students write together.
Participants are taught how to form a band, how to rehearse, what to listen for, how to write as a collective, and performance techniques. They also learn to how to properly set up and use their equipment in a group setting.
The week culminates with a free concert featuring all the bands where their friends and families are welcome to come and cheer them on.
